Question: How did you enjoy your first season playing for the Maryland Nighthawks?
Tamir Goodman: This was my sixth season playing professional basketball, it's been my favorite. I loved the Nighthawks hospitality, I love the fans, I love the coaching staff, organization and I love the players. It's just been absolutely amazing.
Q: How do you feel the talent in the PBL compares to overseas in Israel?
TG: I think it's at a very high level. There's great talent in this league and on our team and it was a privilege to be around such great players and such a great group of guys.
Q: How is the finger feeling?
TG: My finger still hasn't healed yet. It feels better, I've been able to start shooting and I still hope to get the swelling down and flexibility at a better level so I can be ready for next season.
Q: How did you enjoy playing in front of the hometown crow?
TG: It was great to play back in front of the home town crowd, especially to see my family in the stands again. It was really a rewarding experience after playing all those years overseas.
Q: Are you superstitious or have a pre-game ritual?
TG: No, I have no superstitions. I just try to be as close as possible to God 24/7.
Q: What are your plans for the offseason?
TG: I have a lot of camps going on especially one camp in particular that I would like to point out, the TGALBC (Tamir Goodman Athletic Leadership Basketball Camp), where I take talented Jewish players from around the country and African-American players as well and we have a Jewish/African-American basketball camp where it helps to promote a lot of good between the two communities as well as develop them as great basketball players.
Q: What were your goals for this past season and are you going to set any goals for next year?
TG: My goals are everyday to do the absolute best in whatever I'm doing and let God take care of the rest. I try to be the best person as a player, a father, and a Jew and I let the rest God take care of.
Q: Do you expect to be back with the Nighthawks next season?
TG: I would be blessed to be back with the Nighthawks next year.
